Anonymous hackers: "Congratulations Mr. Assad, You have received the undivided attention of Anonymous"

AnonOps Communications: Anonymous hackers: "Congratulations Mr. Assad, You...: "The hacker community known as Anonymous has issued a communiqué and declared an operation against Bashar al Assad and the Syrian regime." The cutting of internet by Syrian authorities and the massive operations it's military was carrying out against civilian populations has deeply angered the hacking community.

The Annonymus Letter says:
One of the actions will be to remove the websites of Syrian embassies abroad.

“So long as Assad remains in power and the criminal and evil regime retains it’s ability to torture, kill, and imprison their own people; Anonymous will continue this campaign of removing the Syrian Embassy web sites from the internet and interfering with the communications channels via Black Fax and E-Mail Bomb campaigns.” says another communiqué

You can follow the operation with Twitter's hashtag #opSyria and on the group's blog at: http://anonops.blogspot.com/2011/06/anonymous-hackers-congratulations-mr.html

AnonOps Communications: Spain: Anonymous takes down National Police Website

AnonOps Communications: Spain: Anonymous takes down National Police websit...: "Saturday the infamous, international Internet hactivist collective known as Anonymous launched a successful DDoS attack against the Spanish Police..."

Here the the press statement they released shortly after the attack:

Greetings Spanish Government:

We know you have heard of us; We are Anonymous. It has come to our attention that you deemed it necessary to arrest three of our fellow anons, ... which you claim to be the leaders of Anonymous and for their participation in DDoS attacks against various websites...

First and foremost, DDoSing is an act of peaceful protest on the Internet. The activity is no different than sitting peacefully in front of a shop denying entry. Just as is the case with traditional forms of protest...

Regardless of how many times you are told, you refuse to understand. There are no leaders of Anonymous. Anonymous is not based on personal distinction...

Arresting somebody for taking part in a DDoS attack is exactly like arresting somebody for attending a peaceful demonstration in their hometown. Anonymous believes this right to peacefully protest is one of the fundamental pillars of any democracy...

You have not detained three participants of Anonymous. We have no members and we are not a group of any kind. You have, however, detained three civilians expressing themselves...

You are providing us with the fuel, but now you must expect the fire.

Awaiting your action,

Anonymous,

We are Legion.
We do not forgive your attacks on freedom.
We do not forget your ignorance.
Expect Revolution.
Expect us.

Russian Aggression Unchecked!

Russia is clearly in the wrong. They are attacking Georgia - clearly in areas outside of the conflict zone.

Russians are bombing civilian structures, cities, blocking food and medicine supplies into Georgia and is continually advancing troops into territories of Georgia even though Georgian troops have been holding a ceasefire for the past 48-72 Hours.

This is an act of aggression totally inappropriate for any superpower and violates numerous international treaties, laws and Georgian national sovereignty. It seems Russia wants to make sure Georgian government is overthrown and the territories split up and given independence.

This act by Russia is nothing short of a genocide! So how dare the Russians say the Georgians are committing genocide!

According to Russia, they are in the process of establishing "peace" in the territory of South Ossetia. But how is it that they are establishing this "peace" by bombing Georgian cities and airports (ship yards and military bases also) all across the country - when Georgia is observing a ceasefire???

I do not know who Russia is trying to convince but its clear Russia is clearly in the wrong now.

Russian troops are pushing from from South Ossetia in Georgia and is now outside the town of Gori. Russian forces have also entered Georgia from the breakaway region of Abkhazia. At the same time, Russia is arming the rebels in those regions to engage the Georgian troops and security personnel and then go into Georgian towns to "restore peace."

I think it is time some serious world powers get involved and kick Russian troops out of Georgia and its territories. That land is Georgia's and Georgian people and the government do not want Russia there - so why is Russia trying to enforce "peace?"

Explosions rock Chinese Cities during Olympics

There has been a series of bomb attacks on a police station and commercial buildings in the Chinese province of Xinjiang, state media has reported. Witnesses reported that the explosions had been followed by sporadic gunfire, and that troops had been deployed.

World Uighur Congress spokesman Dilxat Raxit told the BBC that the Chinese government was responsible for the latest blasts because of what he called repressive policies in Xinjiang.

"In order to stop the East Turkestan situation getting worse, I urge the international community to exert pressure on China to immediately stop its systematic repressive government policies," he said.

Yet again, all is NOT calm at China. The situation in China is not as glamorous and grand as the Opening Ceremony would have us believe. The Uighur separatists are kicking their campaign aganist China into high gear because for years China has occupied their country and violated their Human Rights... the same thing China is doing to Tibet.
