Rise of Hindu Fundamentalism in India

India has always been a tolerant state - and is even known to be the only state that protected the Jewish people. After over 2000 years of tolerance, religious communities in India are faced with intolerance and hate.

Muslims, Sikhs and many other religions are faced with troubles at the hands of extremist Hindus like BJP or VHP. Today, Christians are facing one of the longest and planned attacks aganist it by the radical Hindu state of Orissa and its ruling party of radical hindus called BJP (RSS division) and VHP.

The largest democracy in the world known for its deep religious tolerance and spiritual rich past is now the battleground of hate and violence.

Here is a look at the issues.
